Right of withdrawal
Last updated: September 2026 · Version 2026-09-30
This is a translation for your convenience. SPEKTRA is an Austrian sole proprietorship and our contracts are governed by Austrian law. Where this English text and the German original differ, the German version prevails — you can read it any time by switching the language at the top of the page. Nothing here is meant to say anything different from the German text; if you spot a discrepancy, tell us and we will fix the translation.
The following applies to consumers within the meaning of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG) and the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG). If you are ordering as a business, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to you.
Your right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded. To exercise it, tell us (SPEKTRA — Raul Tatzber, Feldgasse 70/3, 2232 Deutsch-Wagram, raultatzber@spektra-sites.com) in a clear statement — an email is enough — that you are withdrawing. Sending that message before the period expires is sufficient to meet the deadline; it does not have to reach us within the fourteen days.
What happens then
If you withdraw, we refund every payment we have received from you without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days of the day your withdrawal reaches us. We use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, and you are not charged any fee for the refund.
If you ask us to start straight away
If you expressly ask us to begin before the withdrawal period ends, and you then withdraw, you owe a proportionate amount for what we had already done by that point (§ 16 FAGG). Your right of withdrawal ends entirely once the service has been performed in full — but only if we started after you gave that express request and at the same time acknowledged that you would lose the right once the work was complete (§ 18 (1) 1 FAGG). For Basic and Standard website projects SPEKTRA waives the proportionate amount under § 16 FAGG — the satisfaction rule in the terms (section 3) applies there.
We obtain both of these in the agreement you sign before we start building — as two separately ticked points, so it stays visible what you are agreeing to.
On top of that: your six-hour window
Independently of the statutory right above, you can withdraw a project request with one click in your account for six hours after sending it — no reason, no form.
That window is in addition to your statutory right of withdrawal. It does not replace it and does not shorten it. Once the six hours pass, you still have your full fourteen days under § 11 FAGG.
Model withdrawal form
If you want to withdraw, you may use the form below. You do not have to — a plain email is enough:
